Avengers: Endgame LEAK Revealed By Tom Holland Spider-Man Changes EVERYTHING

Published on

Tom Holland may have done it again. Although in this instance, he really may not have even realized it. The spoiler doesn’t even come from a recent interview--it doesn’t come from an interview featuring an Avengers: Endgame topic at all actually. It comes from an Avengers: Infinity War interview, one Holland did alongside Benedict Cumberbatch at the time.

The Interview

During the time Infinity War was the main Avengers movie to look forward to, Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch did an interview about it for Access, the video for which was recently dug up by Comicbook.com. Access asked them the question, “who flubbed the most lines?” For those of you confused by the lingo, don’t worry, Tom and Benedict were as well. But after the two actors deciphered what their interviewer was asking, which was along the lines of: “Between the two of them, which one screwed up the most lines,” the general consensus fell on Benedict as he nominated himself before Tom reluctantly voted for him too.

But Tom also admitted that Benedict had the most complicated lines out of anyone on the film, and this is where the spoiler comes in. Tom says, “He has the most difficult lines, though. He has to talk about so much Quantum realm stuff.” And there it is, your spoiler. If you remember correctly, nowhere in Infinity War does Doctor Strange talk about the Quantum Realm. As far as we the audience are concerned, he doesn’t even know it exists because he’s has no ties mentioned between it, so Tom must have been referencing Avengers: Endgame. The two films were shot back to back, so this is the most logical explanation. To Tom’s credit, he was handed a super thick script that was pretty much redacted all the way through (ironically to avoid spoilers), so Tom probably had no idea when he was filming scenes for Infinity War or scenes for Endgame.

Confirmations?

So first of all, this nearly confirms the theory that fans have had about the Quantum Realm playing a bigger role in the MCU than in just Ant-Man movies. Because of the seeming foreshadowing dropped in the Ant-Man and the Wasp after credits sceen, fans have speculated that the Avengers will use the Quantum Realm’s time vortexes in some capacity to combat Thanos. Either to reverse the effects of his snap, or stop his snap from happening completely. This also gives us a bit more evidence that Doctor Strange really did time his surrender of the Time Stone to Thanos in an effort to wait for Scott to become trapped in the Quantum Realm. If Benedict has complicated lines about the Quantum Realm, then it plays a bigger role in Endgame, so Strange probably learned about it in his future viewing with the Time Stone, when he witnessed the one possible way to defeat Thanos.

This also nearly confirms that Spider-Man and Doctor Strange (possibly along with the rest of the dusted heroes) will be making important appearances in Avengers: Endgame. Mind you, we already knew both characters were going to be returning to the MCU as a whole since they both have sequel movies announced. Spider-Man: Far From Home will be coming out this year and is confirmed to take place after Endgame and Doctor Strange’s sequel was announced to have been in production and will be coming out around 2020. But what we didn’t know was how leathy their appearance in Endgame would be. Considering the film looks like a homage to the original Avengers members it wouldn’t be surprising if the Phase 2 and beyond Avengers members didn’t make an appearance until the very end. But with this new information, it sounds like the new avengers may actually play a bigger role than just piles of dust.

Quantum Realm Reinforcement

There’s even more evidence that the Quantum Realm will serve a greater purpose even outside this interview. For one, Michael Douglas told Ryan Seacrest that the Quantum Realm will be the “key” to Endgame, so he’s kind of a spoiler too. For those of you who don’t know, Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym, the one who discovered the Quantum Realm in the first place.

There is also an upcoming toy line that may prove the Quantum Realm prevalence. The toys feature some of the Avengers, notably Thor, Rocket Raccoon, and Captain America, in new uniforms, ones completely different from what we’ve been seeing so far. The suits sport the Avengers logo and predominantly white. They look similar to the suit worn by Hank when he entered the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

This seem to indicate that the Avengers will in fact use the Quantum Realm to some extent. Captain Marvel is also featured on the box of toys, so this may indicate another theory that fans have. The theory suggests that Captain Marvel received her time traveling abilities (a spoiler dropped by Samuel L Jackson in a Captain Marvel interview) from the Quantum Realm. So maybe her presence with the other aforementioned Avengers on the toy box suggests that she really will be will be connected to the Quantum Realm in some capacity. Maybe this is where the Avengers meet her. Maybe Scoot meet her here before escaping himself. Maybe she sense Scott using the vortexes to warp around time. Regardless, this suggests that fans were right in thinking that the Quantum Realm will play a big role in Endgame and possibly even Captain Marvel.
